Jeena Shin


Jeena Shin creates works which explore subtle shifts of plane, tone and pigment weight. She is an MFA graduate of the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (2000). Shin has created a number of large-scale works in response to architectural environments in spaces as diverse as theatres, bars and public art galleries including Moving Image Time at Te Papa Tongarewa  (2018), The Adam Art Gallery, Wellington (2011), The Dunedin Public Art Gallery (2011) and Artspace Aotearoa (2009).

Her work was included in the major exhibition Necessary Distraction: A Painting Show, Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki, curated by Natasha Conland (2015). Jeena Shin is represented by Two Rooms Gallery, Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland.
